Policy details for our Marinas & Boatyards Insurance coverage are as follows:
- Property Damage – Covers physical loss or damage to insured property and marine installations, including marine impact, debris removal, temporary removal, architects’, surveyors’ and legal fees. Includes optional cover for exhibitions and property away from premises on an all-risks basis.
- Stock – Covered at cost price.
- Goods in Transit – All Risks cover for goods in own, haulier’s vehicles, by rail, or post.
- Handling Equipment – Cover for specialist equipment such as boat hoists, transporters, cranes, and forklifts.
- Builders Risks – Covers loss or damage, malicious acts, or negligence affecting vessels under construction. Includes third-party liabilities.
- Vessels – Covers loss, damage, theft, and transit risks for marine stock, owned vessels, and hire fleets. Includes third-party liability, wreck removal, trials, tests, and optional exhibition cover.
- Business Interruption – Protection against income loss due to insured damage (Property, Marine, Builders Risks). Indemnity periods: 12, 24, or 36 months. Includes cover for gross profit/revenue, increased costs, rent, and optional extensions for suppliers, utilities, access, and breach of canal.
- Computer All Risks – Covers damage to equipment, data reinstatement, and extra working costs.
- Employers’ Liability – Covers legal liability for employee injury, including defence and court costs.
- Public & Products Liability – Legal liability for injury or property damage, including pollution. Limits: £3m, £5m, or £10m.
- Collision Liability – Covers third-party vessel damage, loss of use, salvage, and general average costs.
- Protection & Indemnity – Covers liability for injury, wreck removal, salvage, and fines from vessel operation.
- Terrorism Cover – Available as an optional extension.
- Professional Indemnity – Covers liability for breach of duty, dishonesty, libel, slander, and document damage, including legal defence costs.
